Question

Illustrator crashing when I open a specific file on iPad

Adobe illustrator keeps crashing when a open a file, but what's more strange is that it's one particular file that it starts to open then crashes and closes down the app. I have updated my software, checked for updates, duplicated the file, and nothing seems to be working. I am working on some artwork for clients so this is very important for me to get access to!

Was the file created or edited using the desktop version of Illustrator? If so I wonder if features or effects not supported in the iPad version were baked into the artwork. The same might go for live effects generated by third party plugins.

Hi, the artwork at all its contents were created on iPad unfortunately so don't think that could be a reason

What exactly is in the file? We are interested in the types of objects - 3D, effects, etc.

How large is the file?

unfortunately the steps you have sent seem more aligned to desktop version of illustrator and I currently use iPad. Have you got any info on how to support on my device rather then generally??
