Add a Node Count Feature to Illustrator!

Hi, Adobe! 👋
I have an idea to improve Adobe Illustrator that could be incredibly useful for designers, especially those working with vector graphics, logos, and complex shapes. It’s a Node Count Tool!

How it could work:

  • A counter is displayed in the top toolbar or as an additional option in the Properties panel.
  • It shows the number of anchor points in the selected path or object.
  • Updates in real-time while editing.

Why this is important:

  • Managing anchor points helps optimize vector objects for smaller file sizes.
  • Designers can easily identify and fix overly complicated paths.
  • It’s especially helpful for preparing graphics for print, web, or animation.

Additional suggestions:

  • Highlight paths with an excessive number of points.
  • Integrate with the Simplify tool for quick reduction of anchor points.

What do you think about this idea? I hope it becomes a valuable addition to the favorite tool of all designers! ✨
