Illustrator 25.4 no longer types German umlauts (ü, ö)

Hallo,

ich habe AI 25.4 gerade installiert. Kann normal Text einfügen, aber keine Umlaute schreiben (egal in welcher Schrift). Bei der Vorschau kann ich aber bei "Beispiel" Vorschautexte mit Umlaten auswählen und sehe sie ohne Probleme.

In anderen Programmen wie InDesign oder Word Programmen, ist es gar kein Problem. Auch kann ich ein "ö" von Word nach Illustrator kopieren und es funktioniert.

Die Tastatur vom System (Windows 10) ist auch auf Deutsch eingestellt. 

Beim schreiben von Umlaten, wird einfach nichts geschrieben.

Hat jemand eine Idee, was ich machen könnte?

Zusatz: ich kann doch große Buchstaben wie "ÄÖÜ" schreiben, auch kleines "ä", aber nicht kleines "ö" oder "ü". Sonst wird alles ohne Probleme geschrieben.

It also works for me in the beta, but on a Mac.

For me it doesn't work in the beta.

I checked the German beta with my Mac set to German and it worked fine.

Of course I do not have a real German keyboard, that may make a difference.

I see thee is a shipping 25.4 version now, I'll check that one.

And the shipping 25.4 version works for me too. Würste und Brötchen.

It is really just the small "ö" that shows no reaction on typing. And it is only in Illustrator in ALL fonts.

Bei mir sind auch das "ü" und "ä". 
Als workaround solange die die Glyphenpalette /-Fenster öffnen und manuell korrigieren.
Oder Texte in inDesign oder Textedit vorschreiben und über copy/paste einfügen.

It is a bug!!! Just went back to 25.3.1. and that works just fine.

I wasted 2 hours yesterday, removing my fonts, looking for solutions ....!!!

Same here, ü and ö no longer work, going back to 25.3.1 "solved" the issue.

Now, how do we find out if any future update will really fix this, preferably without having to update, test and then again revert?

Habe das gleiche Problem am MAC mit ü und ö in Kleinbuchstaben. Großbuchstaben und ä gehen.

Unfortunately, I can no longer type small ü and ö in Illustrator. It goes in capital letters. In all other Adobe programs too. So it's not the keyboard. If I prescribe and copy the text in InDesign, for example, it will be properly adopted.
Does anyone know advice?

I´m using Illustrator 2021.

Untill last week all works without any problems.

I have no issues with these characters, so I'm trying to work out if this is specifically a Mac OS problem.

Are you using a Mac and typing alt+u? Or a Windows machine typing alt+252 (etc.)?
