Hi,
Can someone tell me, why is a vector turning pixelated/hazy when placed on InDesign?
This is just the screen preview. It could be that the link is broken, but if the art was just placed and looks like this, its likely because your Display Performance is set to Typical Display instead of High Quality Display.
Just to add to this, it's under the View menu > Display Performance. You can also change preferences for how vectors are displayed in Preferences > Display Performance. I like to set my Typical display so raster images are previews but vector images are high res, since they don't take that long to draw onscreen.
Right mouse click > Display performance higj quality.
But you have to avoid EPS also. Use only PDF/X-4 or AI files in modern days with InDesign. EPS is an old technology from the past millenium, decades ago. I assume that the image is EPS.

Actually no. I am having this issue, one icon out of many in an svg image is appearing pixelated, and looking at the image in illustrator it is a simple vector. Importing to Indesign just this icon looks pixelated, and the view setting is set to high quality displan.

It was because there was a dropshadow applied to the icon. I removed that and it worked fine. If this issue happens, just look at the file in the program where it is being created and make sure no effects are applied and everything is flattened..
