I've always found it odd that you can't simply update your current custom workspace, surely this would be a simple feature to implement by adding a new item at the bottom of the workspace dropdown menu?

Hi @Sam329057051r49,

Thank you for sharing your feedback about updating custom workspaces in InDesign. I understand how having the ability to update an existing workspace directly would be incredibly useful and efficient. Currently, to modify a workspace, you need to create a new version and save it again, which can be cumbersome.

Your suggestion of adding an “Update Workspace” option at the bottom of the dropdown menu is a great idea! I recommend sharing this feedback on the [Adobe InDesign UserVoice](https://adobe.ly/3AGEsDZ) page, where users can submit feature requests and upvote ideas. This helps the product team prioritize features for future updates based on user interest.

Thanks again for contributing your thoughts, and if you have any other feedback or questions, feel free to share!

Best,
Abhishek Rao

You can uypdate a workspace by choosiung New Worksspacwe from the menu, then using the name of the current workspace. You should be asked if you want to replace the current workspace.

I admit this is not as convenient as an update workspace command. Yoiu might want to submit a feature request at https://indesign.uservoice.com/forums/601021-adobe-indesign-feature-requests
