Acrobat will not open nor export from InDesign

I use InDesign and Acrobat Pro DC to generate PDFs to send to the editor of the magazine I design. Just yesterday, when exporting from InDesign to PDF, it crashes, and a crash report for APPLE shows up. When I try to launch Acrobat, I get a screen telling me I do not have permission to access the app.
I am current with my credit card payments to Adobe, Mohammed on its support line tells me no one can help me until Monday, and I have deadlines to meet. Any solution to this problem? I have uninstalled and reinstalled and same result. I'm on a 2017 MacBook Pro, OS X Big Sur, InDesign CC 2021, Acrobat Pro DC. Thanks!

Acrobat Pro cannot open INDD files and it has nothing to do with exporting to PDF from InDesign.
This is an InDesign issue.

Sounds serious.
Reset your preferences
The easiest way to reset everything is to delete the InDesign preferences: as soon as InDesign starts to boot hold down Shift, Alt, Ctrl (and Apple/Cmd if working on a Macintosh). A dialog will appear asking to delete the InDesign Preferences, select 'Yes' on this dialog.
Failing this - try a fresh install:

So Acrobat is crashing when it tries to open a PDF exported from InDesign, and you can't open Acrobat? Try turning off View PDF after exporting (in the InDesign export dialog). Can you open the PDF in Reader? If so, you probably need to re-install Acrobat and replace the existing Acrobat preferences, as already mentioned. If it's still not working, I believe there is an Acrobat cleaner tool that removes the original install. If your PDF looks OK in Reader, you should be able to meet your deadline and repair Acrobat when you have the time.

There is no crash report for InDesign. There is a crash report for Acrobat. It shows the Acrobat app has been modified since it was signed. Check console for disk errors. Consider whether you may have malware. Consider if you nnstalled any Acrobat add-on. Then uninstall Acrobat and reinstall it. Do not reinstall until uninstall success.
