Add Logo/Watermark to Print Marks/Page information

Hello everyone,

Is there a way to add a logo to the crop mark area?
I see you can add page information - so I can have the file name, but ideally I would also like to be able to add a logo in there as well. Just so if the file is passed on to someone else they can easily identify where it orginated without having to use the file name.

Is there a script or something I can customise?

Cheers for the help in advance.

If I understand what you need, you could add a slug area to your file, and include the logo and info you want into that area on your parent pages. When you export your file, click the Include Slug Area check box under Marks and Bleeds.

This is the way I've always done it, and have seen other shops do it.

A subtle aspect is that you may wish to reduce the bottom bleed, and extend any bleed content into the slug area, so that you can place the logo, shop info, etc. a little closer to the crop frame.

Perfect thanks!
Do you know if there is any way to make this automated?

Well, "automate" is a vague term.

You can certainly create templates thave have the bleed, slug, logo and any associated information already in place; I'd suggest putting all the later on a locked layer of its own.

Or you can have a standardized graphic (I'd use PDF) that can be placed on any layout; again, I'd put it on its own locked layer.

I suppose a script wizard could even write a script that sets the bleed, slug and then imports and locks the graphic, if you really want a "one button" solution. This could automate things like filename, creator, date etc.

All good options,

Ive create another post to see if anyone can write this up as a script. This is the ideal solution - we shall see. Thanks for the help.
