I am running InDesign CC 13.0.1 on High Sierra 10.13.1.
Adding a Hunspell dictionary to InDesign causes a huge slowdown to the application, and the spellcheck no longer works. Afterwards, I have to reinstall InDesign for it to be usable.
It could be something to do with code-signing, as the console is throwing errors such as the one listed below.
Is there another place where I can install my custom language dictionaries, other than within the AdobeHunspellPlugin bundle?
AMFI: Check-fix enabled for binary '/Applications/Adobe InDesign CC 2018/Resources/Dictionaries/LILO/Linguistics/Providers/Plugins2/AdobeHunspellPlugin.bundle/Contents/MacOS/AdobeHunspellPlugin' with TeamID 'JQ525L2MZD', identifier 'com.adobe.adobehunspellplugin2': broken signature treated as unsigned without privileges. This workaround will not work for software built on or after 10.12.

This sounds like a developer-level question. I'd ask it here:

Nope, this is an issue that will affect anyone on Sierra or High Sierra who tries to install a Hunspell dictionary, as detailed in this help page:
Add and remove Hunspell dictionaries in different languages in InDesign
I myself use two additional languages with InDesign: Latin and Ancient Greek. It looks as if Apple has changed the behaviour of its code-signing, and Adobe has not realised yet. The whole of the spelling system of InDesign is being sandboxed, and is not useable until after being uninstalled then installed again.
This needs to be fixed, as the only current way to use a non-standard language in InDesign is to downgrade one of the Macs to El Capitan.

Hi Nigel,
I saw you made a bug report about this issue in UserVoice.
For others experiencing the same issue, the InDesign team is currently reviewing the issue. Any updates will be posted on the bug report page here: Hunspell dictionaries cannot be added in Sierra or High Sierra – Adobe InDesign Feedback
Best,
Wren
