Hi,
I have a magazine design in Indesign where I have placed PDFs of adverts supplied by avertisers..3 are clocking over 340% ink coverage.
Is there a way to adjust this to 280% in Indesign? isf so please can someone tell me how, or do thePDfs have to be adjusted before being placing in the INDD doc?
many thanks

You do it in acrobat

Hi Turner Design Agency,
look into this thread:

That's a job for a color server that can handle this by converting the color of PDFs so that the resulting PDFs fit your needs without visible degradation of the contents. Find a company that does the conversion for a fee. The thread above is showing an example where to turn to.
Or contact the advertisers with stricter specs how to deliver PDFs.

Thanks for the extra info!
I agree - get them to supply them accurately in the first place.
If they don't then you can't be held accountable for how it turns out.
From my experience after many years in prepress is that it's handled by the printers RIP anyway.
You should contact the printer and relay your concerns.
