Hi All,
I am having the same two issues repeatedly.
1. When I try to move pages from one document to another using InDesign the application crashes.
2. It also freezes when I try to open a file using the "File" "Open" menu. I have to instead find the file and double click to open.
I'm on Adobe CC 2019 InDesign and using MAC. See exact machine options in the attached image.

Are you working on a server or is this a personal computer working on a local hard drive? If you are on a network try working locally and see if the problem persists. If this is not the issue then try trashing your Indesign preferences
To do so on a Mac:
The User Library folder in which InDesign’s preferences are stored is hidden by default on most Macintoshes. To access it make sure that InDesign is closed and click on the desktop to launch a Finder Window (Command-N). With this window in column view follow the path User>Home folder (it’s the folder with an icon that looks like a house—it may have the user’s name rather than “Home”) and click on the Home folder. With the Option Key pressed choose Library from the Finder Go Menu. “Library” will now appear within the Home folder. Within the Library folder find the folder called Preferences and within it find the folder called “Adobe InDesign” and the file called “com.adobe.InDesign.plist” and delete both that folder and that file. When InDesign is next launched it will create new preference files and the program will be restored to its defaults.
The advantage of manually deleting preference files in this manner is that after you’ve reset up the program (make sure that no document window is open) to your liking, you can create copies of your personalized “mint” preference files (make sure that you quit the program before copying them—that finalizes your customization) and use them in the future to replace any corrupt versions you may need to delete.
If this does not work then try uninstalling and reinstalling in the following manner:
In the app section of your Creative Cloud desktop app click on the “V” next to the app’s (InDesign) name and choose the “Uninstall” option from the pull-down menu that appears. After you’ve run the uninstall then use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems . Then reinstall the program through the Desktop app. Before you reinstall, once again trash all preference files to make sure that your install is completely clean. Then launch InDesign and see if the problem persists.

Nope, my files are on my local machine, not a network drive. I've tried the plist thing. I'm fairly technical as I also build iOS apps via XCode and write Obj-C and Swift so not a MAC noob (just FYI). After restarting the machine and restarting InDesign it seems ok for a while. I'm doing these things this morning fine, but last week it was crashing incessantly and I only had two InDesign files open simultaneously. The environment seems to be mostly moving pages from one document to another, crash boom. It's new, so let's see if I'm the only one.

Has it happened with other files than the two you were working on when you had the problem? As to seeing if you're the only one with the problem, I've not seen a rash of reports with the same problem as you present. High Sierra is no longer the latest OS so InDesign problems related to it would mostly have been seen by now so that just begs the question as to whether your CC 2019 InDesign is the latest version, 14.0.1? If not then try updating your InDesign.

It's any file. I am rebranding stuff for 2019 and moving pages around from multiple documents. I have InDesign 14.0, so I do have a CC update I can do now from the CC app for 14.0.1, I'll do that and let you know if it continues. I'm on a company machine, so cannot migrate OS until engineering has cleared the Mojave update. It's in the queue for engineering though so should be soon as they need it for our AppDev group too.
Thank you for the quick response though. Appreciated.

Please refer to the uservoice thread - InDesign crashes while moving pages between 2 documents – Adobe InDesign Feedback.
Try workaround - User keyboard to enter the value on Move pages dialog.
