Adobe CS 5.5 ENG | MAC OS HIGH SIERRA | Mac Mid 2015 | Random crash

Hello.

After re-installing CS 5.5 ENG - i am experiencing random crashes whenever i try to move a picture, edit, or pretty much anything.

You need to roll back to a supported operating system or move to Creative Cloud if this is mission critical.

Otherwise you'll need to look into alternative applications.

It might be worth looking at the different InDesign versions to see what you might gain from upgrading, or loose by downgrading! https://indd.adobe.com/view/0fe50e63-71b1-4db5-91c1-c8f6c4738df2

What MAC OS version would you guys recommend if i wanted to try to downgrade, and install CS 5.5?

10.10 Mountain Lion.

Mountain Lion is 10.8. Yosemite is 10.10. Yosemite supports 5.5.

you can't continue to upgrade your OS with old software. it just won't work well at some point.

What would be the correct Adobe CS alternative that is supported on High Serria?

Owners of old programs simply have problems with Mac El Capitan/Sierra... none of which is Adobe's fault... Adobe did not change your old program to make it stop working... Apple changed their operating system and THAT is why your old programs won't work, not because of anything Adobe did... Also... every time Apple issues an update, there is the risk that an old program that HAS been working will STOP working... bottom line, old programs require a matching old operating system
