Adobe font isn't embedding in Acrobat PDF all of a sudden? Says font is missing but it's downloaded

Hello,

I really need your help as this is a PDF document that is needed for a client in work.

The two fonts used in this PDF are Industry and Industry Inc which I obtained from Adobe Fonts.

Everything was working perfectly until I saved the PDF from Acrobat and on some pages the fonts came up in dots or a different script like seen in the screengrabs below.

Then I went on to the original InDesign document and it is now saying the fonts can't be found even though they are downloaded on my system.

I have tried everything uninstalling and reinstalling fonts, restarting my computer, I even tried Auto-activate Adobe Fonts from Edit > Preferences > File Handling, but to no avail.

I currently use a MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2021) however when I sent the document to my colleague who uses Windows a box pops up saying "Cannot find or create the font Industry Inc Base, some characters may be missing etc.."

Can somebody please tell me how to fix this as the client needs the document today.

Thank you very much.

If you are a CC Subscriber, and if you use any version of InDesign CC you have to be, you can activate these Fonts via the CC Desktop aplication. Do this, because these OTF fonts allow embedding. Fonts from a website outside of Adobe might offer with the same name, but if they are free, they are not always to use for embedding and print.

From the screenshots - not all of them are OTF?

I actually downloaded the same font from a website online to see if that would work so that's probably why not all are OTF.
