Adobe Fonts doesn't have any Times fonts?

In Adobe Fonts, I cann't find even one instance of any version of Times, excepting Clobberin Time and Good Times, both of which are novelty fonts. Adobe is the publisher of some Times fonts. Where are these essential fonts?

Hi @billvinett

You can purchase Times ®️ here:

https://www.linotype.com/1196087/times-family.html

See this thread for a good explanation:

Hi @billvinett:

Yes, I am aware of the many versions of Times. I just picked two of the most popular to give you some ideas on how to track one down for your use, since they are not available with our CC subcriptions, and also to let you know that you likely already have a version installed that came with your operating system.

To the best of my knowledge, Adobe doesn't own a version of Times. They used to sell licenses for individual fonts, but that store was closed down long ago. Linotype licenses Times Ten, CG Times and Times. Monotype licenses Times New Roman.

You may not be aware that the community forums are primarily staffed by volunteers who help other users in their spare time. We understand your frustration, but we don't have the ability to ask Adobe to add particular fonts to the library any more than any other user does.

Times New Roman is included with Windows 10, see https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/typography/fonts/windows_10_font_list and Times and Times New Roman are included with macOS 11, see https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT211240. What operating system are you using?

In addition, you can license Times New Roman (published by Monotype) from Myfonts.com, see https://www.myfonts.com/fonts/mti/times-new-roman/ and Times (published by Linotype) from fonts.com, see https://www.fonts.com/font/linotype/times?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI8d3N5YDR7gIVjobACh2_ZwnMEAAYAiAAEgK8E_D_BwE.

Using OS 11.2. You may not be aware that there are many, many Times fonts. I had been using a CG Times and a Times Ten on recent iD documents. Just shocked (but not surprised) that the "thousands of fonts" included in CC subscriptions don't include the most used or most popular fonts that deisgners use... even when Adobe is the publisher of many of those fonts. It seems that huge corporate size brings corresponding hubris.

Well, that's a matter of opinion…
