Adobe Indesign CS4 Trial

New Here ,
Apr 27, 2010 Apr 27, 2010

Hi Everyone,

I was looking to try out indesign cs4 for my company but I can't find it( the trial) on the adobe website. I think they have removed it because cs5 is coming out. I have looked all over for it but nothing. Does any one have it or know where I can get it. I would just contact adobe but I am sure they will tell me I have to wait for the cs5 trial. If I like it I do plan on buying CS5 but I need something now, Othweise I have to find another product like indesign,  Anything would be very helpful.

Thanks in advance

You can uninstall CS5, then install CS4 and CS5 in order. If you later uninstall the CS4 again, you'll have to reinstall CS5 one more time.

No. Just uninstall CS5 before you install CS4...

Great tips! Thanks Harb and Peter. You guys rock!

OK my other $1mil question is: with CS5 already on my Mac, I had to reinstall CS3. Same thing? Doesn't do any good right?

Yeah, ALWAYS install in chronological order, ESPECIALLY on a Mac, and if you remove an earlier version after installing a new one, be preapred to reinstall everything again.

Since multiple versions of ID have no problems co-exisiting when installed in order, most of us here advocate to just leave the early versions in place when you upgrade. It's amazing how often you discover you need them again for one little thing.

Man I've used Mac since 1989 and never knew that. Things get only more complicated. Now there is the 32 vs 64 bit issue. No onder why my iMac is such a slow poke nowadays. More and more apps run are designed for 64.

Israel is a looong way.

Yeah. The real reason Harbs gets stuff late is that the pigeons have to make a stop to rest their little wings...

I'm in need of a CS3 and CS4 for Mac version... I've sent a PM to Harbs. Anybody have links they could share? My plugin options are only for these two versions.

Thanks

Did you look at this thread?

This link is posted in response 6: http://forums.adobe.com/message/2729885#2729885

and if you read the first response for Technolux you'll see instructions for going to his blog and downloading, but to save you time, the link to that is Technolux-download trials

Which package do you have? ID isn't included in all the packages, only Design Standard, Design Premium, and Master Collection.
