Question

Adobe InDesign keeps crashing when I try to upload or 'place' an image

Hi,

I am having some issues with Adobe InDesign which are really frustrating. Basically, any time in the past week I have tried to upload or choose to 'place' an image Adobe immediately becomes unresponsive.

I then have to use task manager to close down the program and restart. I had a similar issues on Adobe Acrobat recently where it kept freezing any time I tried to upload an image.

If anyone has had similar experiences or could lend some advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks 🙂

Hi @kenny_2106 ,

Sorry to hear about the trouble. In addition to the question asked by Derek, could you also confirm if it's happening with a specific file or multiple files, and are the files saved locally or on any network folder synched locally?

We're here to help, just need more information.

Regards
Rishabh

Hi Kenny

Which version of InDesign and OS?
How much RAM and spare hard-disk capacity do you have?

Have you tried resetting the InDesign preferences back to the factory defaults?
