The new update 18. something just removed ALL options of paragraph orentaion and story direction from everywhere, can't be found neither in Phragraph panel, Story panel, Character Panel or any play on the app, i don't know what is it exactly the plan of Adobe, just ignoring users in middle east or what is the deal exactly!!!??????

Marhaba Mohannad,

All Arabic support are there, Adobe didn't remove them. It appears that your update swapped the International version with the Middle Eastern version which you had.

The solution is to remove the existing version from your machine, change Adobe CC Language to "English يدعم العربية", and download InDesign and you should have all RTL features back again.

My preferance setting is Supporting Arabic (يدعم العربية) as it shows in the picture, still having the same problem and I can't switch numbers to english.

My only option is to reinstall older virsion 17. whatever to get things and they should be, until Adobe decide to make an update that include arabic paragraph options.

The base version of InDesign is western/Roman/LTR only. Users of RTL langauge such as Arabic, Hebrew, Farsi etc. need to install the parallel MEL version. Users of Asian languages need to install the parallel CJK version.

It sounds as if your update did not include or properly install an MEL extension version that was previously available.
