Adobe Merriweather fonts

Hi, I have recently made a book with Indesign, using Adobe Merriweather fonts.

The fonts were activated on Cloud, but it kept on giving an erroer as missing fonts in the file sometimes, and also not included in the package.

I installed Google Merriweather fonts to solve the problem, but they look totally different.

I wouldl like to use Adobe vesion of Merriweather. How can I purchase or download that?

I have been using regular, italic, bold, and bold italic from the Adobe Merriweather, and they are all activated but they don't show up as an option in the pulldown menu of the Type font, and instead Ultra shows up. Could anyone tell me how to fix this?

https://fonts.adobe.com/fonts/merriweather

When I tried to replace them with normal bold or italic, they don't show up as an option.

I am a Windows user.

In the case of Merriweather I would simply contact Sorkin Type and ask:

Hm. It seems that Merriweather is in constant development:

If I were you I would stick to the Google Fonts font files.

A stable base for InDesign documents.

Hi Acai06,

with the Google fonts offered I cannot see styles like "UltraBold" or "UltraBoldItalic" with Merriweather.

At least not with the non-variable version of Merriweather. Just the 8 styles listed below in my screenshot:

However, the Adobe Fonts version of this font family is seeing them ( screenshot below ).

So the style names for Black and Black Italic ( Google Fonts ) and UltraBold Regular and UltraBold Italic ( Adobe Fonts ) differ. If the glyph shapes also differ, I did not test:

If you are working with the Adobe Fonts only you cannot package the font files. The Adobe Fonts can only be activated and not purchased. If you want to work with font files you can package you need to abandon the Adobe Fonts and switch to the Google Fonts offered.

Thank you so much for your time.

I really do like Adobe version better, so I will ask the printing company if they have the cloud too..

Pity that I cannot buy Adove fonts.

In order to open the InDesign file they have to have a subscription.

While you may have activated it through Adobe fonts, Merriweather is a Google font and if you've activated it through Adobe Fonts and installed the Google font as well you could wind up with conflicts.

I have been using Adobe fonts only, until I notice that this font cannot be in the package.

Then I installed Google fonts, but since they look so different than Adobe fonts, I uninstalled it too.

Now my original issue remains:

How to include Adobe Merriweather fonts in the package?

You cannot package Adobe fonts. The assumption is that the recipient will also have a Creative Cloud subscription and activate them locally.
