Adobe Print Engine Has Failed to Out your Data (InDesign 2019; apparent font issue?)

New Here ,

I recently purchased InDesign 2019, and am unable to print a document as a booklet. I have seen all the other posts about this issue ('Adobe print engine has failed to output your data'), but the resolutions are either not possible for me, or don't work. As the print seems to fail as the dialogue box saying 'downloading font' comes up, I would assume it's a problem with one of the fonts. However, the document is reporting no errors, so how am I to work out which font is causing problems? All of them are built into the programme, so there shouldn't be an issue. It's not a short document, and has countless text boxes, so I can't just change every single font, troubleshooting it in the hopes of finding one that works. My colleagues can't even try to print the document for me as they're running older versions of InDesign, so can't open my 2019 ones. If there is a problematic font, I'd really like to know what it is, and never use it again! I'm really not sure what to do next...

It's advisable to print from a PDF rather than directly from InDesign.

It's also advisable to use Paragraph and Character Styles for your text so you can then very easily change Fonts, sizes, leading etc.

To find a problematic font (or any font used in the document), you should use "Text - Find font" menú. There you can change all the fonts, one by one, till you find the problematic one.

I'd do that in a copy of the file, of course. Just in case.
