Question

Adobe Products and Apple's SF PRO Font Performance

I found something extremely intersting - Adobe products don't work with Apple's SF PRO font.

As soon as I put SF PRO font into my Indesign file or Aftereffect file - the files becomes unusably slow.

It feels like the softwares are rejecting Apple's SF PRO font by design.

does anyone else see this problem??

and why does Adobe do this??

I just changed the font in an annual report from Minion Pro to SF Pro Text and the performance of the file was unaffected.

Are you using any GREP Styles in the document? I have found that complex GREP Styles can slow a file down.

no I don't have any GREP styles. My file becomes very fast immediately if I swap out the SF Pro font so I am sure it is the cause of the problem. Are you on Windows or Mac?
