This Adobe Type 1 font thing continues to bite me in the a$$. Does anyone have a link to Adobe Type 1 equivalents? I'm currently looking for something to replace the following fonts:

  • Akzidenz Grotesk
  • Function
  • Trade Gothic

Thanks!

Also, if you don’t need the exact font search in Adobe Type—they have a version of Trade Gothic, and you probably can find something similar to the others

Hi @kcrossley , Monotype has them:

https://www.myfonts.com/

There are also a number of converters available—FontLab’s TransType is good:

Can these fonts be converted legally? If the Adobe Type 1 fonts belong to Adobe, why didn't the company just convert them to a format that's compatible with its apps?

Did you purchase them? What does the EULA say?
