Hi there,

Sorry to hear about the trouble. I would like to know if the steps suggested above by @Dave Creamer of IDEAS & @SJRiegel worked for you? If not, I would request you to share a few more details like:

  • Os & version of InDesign
  • Is the issue related to a specific document? If yes, could you please package including all the links & fonts and share the document with us? You can upload it to the Creative Cloud (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/share.html) and share the download link here or via DM.
  • Where are you saving the files & links (Network Drive/ System HDD/ Shared Folder on System/ External HDD)?
Are there any recent changes made to your system? For example, any antivirus, system updates, plugins, or web extensions installed recently.

Also, I would suggest you try running the app in the Root/ Hidden Admin account (MacWindows) and let us know if you are able to save documents.

We'll be looking forward to your response.

Regards,

Anshul Saini

You will have to narrow down the source of the error. The easiest way to to export half of the pages at a time, and then half of the section that still give the error. Continue in this fashion until you have narrowed it down to one page. From there, do the same with all of the elements on the page.

Once you have isolated the problem, you can edit and replace the problem element, and try exporting again.

Also, watch the Background Tasks panel (Window > Utilities menu). Sometimes you can see what page it is hanging on.
