Clueless again: I seem to have made some random keystroke, and now all document guidelines (page boundaries, figure margins, table cell boundaries, etc.) have disappeared.

How can those be restored?

Try pressing letter W (toggles between Preview and Normal view). Or choose  View > Screen Mode > Normal.

Thanks; that works, but only partially. By reverting to an older document, 'w' reveals/hides _all_ guidelines as you said it would, but on the document I'm currently working on, 'w' reveals/hides only the _page margins_, not the table rows/columns. I'm suspecting some formatting within my new document that is getting in the way(?).

Another observation: My old document is shown as '(CPU Preview)', whereas the working document (with problems previously described is displayed as '(Overprint Preview)'. I just found the control for that in the 'View' Menu: CPU Preview gives me visible table columns and rows.

So it appears that, for now, all of my issues are resolved. Thanks to all of you for your help.
