Question

Appling multiple sets of bleed to a book layout

Is it possible to apply multiple sets of bleed to a book layout in InDesign? I need to apply a different Left and Right bleed to my book pages. And if not, how can I request Adobe add this feature to InDesign?

If this is not an option, currently in InDesign, are there any ideas on how to ajust the PDF once saved out of InDesign? Maybe in Adobe Acrobat DC? If so, how?

Please someone help me!!

Hi @Misty27037003oio4 , Do you mean you want a different Left and Right bleed on all of your book pages? If that’s the case you can do it either in the Document Setup or PDF Export Marks and Bleeds tab:

Is to prevent bleed between facing pages? If so, use Inside and Outside bleed settings.

OMG you have made my life so much less stressful!! I had my pages as pages instead of spreads. When I moved them to spreads and exported as pages it let me have the Inside Outside bleed options! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

InDesign only sets one bleed setting for a document.

For printing puposes, you can create your own printer's marks, guides for bleed areas wherever you want to, and use them however your print suggests for your print job.

I meant to say, "however your PRINTER suggests for your print job"
