Apply next style at end of Story

Hey team, any way of applying a next style at the end of the story and not just a pilcrow?

Yes, the next styles can cycle but only on a per-paragraph basis.

Heading 1: Next Style is Heading 2

Heading 2: Next Style is Lead in

Lead in: Next Style is Body copy

Body copy: Next Style is Heading 1

If you have a known number of Body paragraphs, say 3 paragraphs, you can change it like so:

Lead in: Next Style is Body copy 1

Body copy 1: Next Style is Body copy 2

Body copy 2: Next Style is Body copy 3

Body copy 3: Next Style is Heading 1

You can then automate the entire formatting--BUT you have to hava a known number of paragraphs.

No, the next style does not work by story.

I'm not sure how that would work--if you add text to the end of story, it becomes part of that story; if you enter the new text in another unlinked frame, it's not part of the original story.

Are you looking to format just the last paragraph of a story?

So currently I have my next styles all working with Heading 1 > Heading 2 > Lead in > Body copy. But I was wondering if there was a way to make that cycle? Perhaps not though

the "pilcrow"?

That's just a not printing sign that the end of the story is reached.

As Willi already said: "When you type a return, you will get the next paragraph with the next style."

I do not understand what you are mising?

When you type a return, you will get the next paragraph with the next style.

If the next paragraph is without text, it should not be there anyway, no trailing space or paragraph should be found in any document.
