Arrow Key Issues with Cursor Movement in InDesign 19.0 (2024) Middle East Version

Hello,

I'm currently using the Middle East edition of InDesign. After updating to version 19.0 (2024), I've encountered a peculiar issue with cursor movement.

Specifically, when I set cursor movement to "Visual" under Preferences - Right to Left - Cursor Movement, the left and right arrow keys behave erratically. Instead of moving linearly, they seem to jump to random positions within the paragraph.

I've attempted several troubleshooting steps, including:

  • Resetting the preferences.
  • Exporting and reopening documents as IDML.
  • Creating new documents from scratch.

Unfortunately, this issue persists across all documents.

    For the time being, use the other "Logical" options till the issue is fixed.
