Question

Audio files in PDF exported from InDesign not working correctly

I have multiple slides in my PDF which include audio files that are set up to start when the page is opened and end when one flips to the next slide. I have toggled off the enhanced security settings and enabled the  multimedia player, etc. all solutions that can be found on this forum.

For some reason, however, only the first audio file plays as intended. Subsequent slides with audio files do not play or even display in the PDF. When I flip back to the original slide that had working audio, it doesn't play again either. So after clipping all my audio files, I am only able to use one in a presentation and it is single-use for some unknown reason. Any advice would be appreciated. I would attach the file but much of the content is copyrighted or covered by non-disclosure. If needed I can reply to this post with a dummy file using audio on all slides for reference.

My standard advice: Forget it. Multimedia in a PDF even under the best of circumstances is a mess. You can't control what PDF reader other people are using and you can't control their security settings in Acrobat.

I know that's not what you wanted to hear, but it's reality.

thanks for the reply. I have gotten the audio to work by publishing online and running the presentation from my web browser ILO of Acrobat
