Hey All!
I have a large document I am flowing into Indesign from Word. There are no paragrpah breaks.
My question is, is there a way in Word or Indesign to automatically add in paragraphs through out the wording/document?

True, and it's not uncommon for a detailed description of some problem (or problem component) to overlook details we'd see on first glance. But I don't think that's the case here; if the source material had paragraph breaks, ID import would have responded differently. (Maybe just as "badly" in some way, but not in the way that's being described.)
But yes, nothing but a look at some sample material is really going to resolve this.

If the text had paragraph marks, when imported from Word into InDesign the paragraphs would have shown up with any paragraph style application, even without invisible characters being turned on. I am assuming that @Jack35427738tn4n is thoroughly familiar with the text he acquired. In fact, it could be their very own “stream-of-consciousness” writing that they now want to formalize with paragraphs. Who knows? But if we find out it really is a case of invisible paragraph marks, I will gladly acknowledge that my assumptions were completely off base.

Hi @J E L :
This is why I started my reply by recommending to look closer at the Word document. It's entirely possible that there are no returns in the Word file, and then when placing the file in InDesign, of course there would not be any returns. But in my 35-year career importing Word documents into Ventura, PageMaker, InDesign and FrameMaker, I have never observed returns being removed on import.
Respectively to everyone on this thread, sometimes a file looks like it doesn't have returns, when in fact it's just not obvious that they are there. I'd like to see a screen shot with Type > Show Hidden Characters enabled from @Jack35427738tn4n. I think it's worth ruling that out before he starts on the massive job of manually editing that file.

@Barb Binder is right, exactly what has been suggested yesterday - full justify on.
