Hello everyone.

I have two type of titles in a document with different lvls:
1. Title

1.1. Title.

They are created with SPACE BEFORE option. I know that CC has option to defince space between two paragraphs using same style. What I was wondering is it possible somehow to tell Indesign CC to set space between those two lvls to 0 if they are one after another, without text inbetween.

Thank you.

No. I just use an override in that situation. I do enable the big + button in the paragraph styles panel so that I can see the overrides though (teal highlighting) when I am scanning the document.

Was afraid of that. Tried several things and none worked. Thank you.

"if they are one after another, without text inbetween."

You can't really make formatting conditional that way using styles. You could make a second style to apply in those instances; e.g., Level 2-nospace.

For what it's worth, IMO, the spacing should be consistenst regardless of whether there is text in between.

I agree on you bout spacing.

Unfortunately it is not possible to do something like that with creating extra styles (long story and lots of headache if I do something like that since I am employee in a company and have someone who interfere with my work)

Hi

I admit it's amazing such a feature isn't built-in in our favourite software, but well... it's not.

So, you'll need a script to fix that. (No overriding please ^^)...

Have a look here: https://indesignsecrets.com/find-change-the-next-paragraph-style-with-a-script.php

Also, I recommand you read comments

hope that helps
