Hey I'm trying to create a manual slideshow that could also be automatic for an interactive PDF document in adobe In Design any ideas on how to create it cause I've tried using object states but they don't work in interactive PDF documents
I agree with Bob. Since you are never positive how, where, what computer, tablet, phone etc. or what program people will view your PDF on, you will get mixed results on most of the interactive features from InDesign to PDF.
Animation and Multiple State Objects don't work in an interactive PDF.
If it has to be a PDF then you don't have many options. You can explore Publish Online, Fixed Layout ePub export, but they each have issues. Check out www.ajarproductions.com the product in5 will create HTM

Best advice I can give you is to not even try. You’ll never get something like that to work.
The closest you’ll get is to add a video and even that’s going to be nothing short of a crapshoot.

All buttons, animations, MSOs, hyperlinks and more can be created in and exported.
