What are your settings for the video in InDesign? How are you viewing the PDF?

Worth noting is that interactive PDF is nothing short of a crapshoot on most mobile devices as well browsers.

Finally, just my $0.02 but auto-playing anything is a horrible user experience.

Hello,

If  "auto-playing anything is a horrible user experience", What other options can we have with an adobe Software to simply export a Slide Presentation with auto-play video? Full screen background Video with text over it, which do not start with delay and grey background or even be resized to its original format? Powerpoint or Keynote can do such things, how about adobe? If Indesign / Interactive pdf do not work for embedded video, what are the other Adobe Option?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Why does a simple slide show need to be done using an Adobe application? What's wrong with Powerpoint or Keynote?

That's what they're built for.

Powerpoint is very powerful and designed for what you're looking to do. Beyond ultra-fine adjustments to type there's very little reason I can think of not to use it for presentations.
