I've used a font called "Berkeley Old Style" for a layout in Adobe InDesign in 2019. I jsut tried to locate it in Adobe Fonts and the message says it can't find it. Does anyone know what happened to that font in Adobe. Or is there an alternative font I can use?

It shows up on a lot of other font sites; but not on fonts.adobe.com. It looks like an ITC font.

Sometimes Adobe's licensing of fonts in Adobe Fonts ends, and is not available again.
You can go to www.MyFonts.com to purchase the font, which is still available:
If you want to search for a similar looking font on Adobe Fonts, you can submit a picture of ITC Berkeley and it will show you similar-appearing fonts, if you don't want to spend any money. Use the Search by Image button to upload a picture.

I think it started as a Bitstream font in the early 90s:
The ITC OpenType version can be purchased here:

Adobe definitely had it as well from the beginning. "Standard" OpenType versions were also available in Adobe OT Font Folio. That being said @rodd4988956, it's worth picking up the revised Pro versions available at Fonts.com as mentioned by Steve. Since the source is the same foundry, it would be the same outlines Adobe used to license if you have old files you want to resurrect, but with the expanded glyph set and other OpenType features of the Pro.

It was a Type 1 font which are no longer supported
