How do I stop InDesign from blinking. Every time I go to edit anything or do anthing like drawing a text block or image block or copy paste, the background blinks. I have reinstalled InDesign, I have restarted my computer. I have the blinking turned off in Story Editor. It's very annoying and bothers my eyes. I'm super close to using Affinity and canceling my Adobe subscription.
Have you tried disabling the GPU Performance Indesign preference?

Interesting. I had the blinking problem while trying to edit text. It never happened before today. The entire page blinked to white as I dragged the cursor over the page, restoring the page when I let go of the cursor. But my GPU Performance was off. Switching it on solved the problem.

I'm having the same problem, and I've tried reinstalling, restarting coputer, disabling the GPU Performance, and reenabling it. I really hope there's a solution because it's making me positively seasick trying to edit my document.

Hi @s.mccrory,
Thank you for reaching out! Based on your system details (Sequoia 15.1.1 and latest Adobe apps), the blinking issue may be related to GPU performance settings or compatibility between InDesign and your OS.
Would you mind trying:
1. Toggle GPU Performance:
- Go to Edit > Preferences > Display Performance and enable/disable GPU Performance to see if it resolves the issue.
2. Ensure your graphics drivers are updated to the latest version compatible with Sequoia 15.1.1.
3. Reset InDesign Preferences:
- Hold Shift+Alt+Ctrl (Windows) or Shift+Option+Command (macOS) while launching InDesign to reset preferences.
If the issue persists, let me know the exact version of InDesign and any error logs/screenshots for further assistance!
Thanks,
Abhishek Rao
