Both Leading and Text Size increase don't work correctly

Hi, when I try to use the increase text size shortcut, it goes up by 5 pt instead of 1 like I have set in preferences. The increase leading shortcut slightly moved the entire object upwards and created an afterimage. How can I fix this? I haven't done anything to the shortcuts. I am using
