Bug Indesign 2025

Hello friends,
Have you encountered the following problem? When I open a file created in Indesign 2024 in Indesign 2025, Indesign 2025 crashes, or offers me to recover the elements of my Indesign 2024 file, but then I lose all my data. Do you have any solution? Thank you very much.

Hello Mike,

thank you for your help. After several tests, I seem to have found the solution to the Indesign 2025 crash problem: it is my font activation plug-in, precisely fontAgent that is causing the problem; in any case once removed from the Indesign 2025 Plug-in folder, Indesign no longer crashes.

Maybe try the nuclear reset method (from the troubleshooting list I sent you) that includes running the CC cleaner to thoroughly remove the app before you attempt to reinstall the 2025 version. It sounds like the problem is the app; not the document files.

    Yes, files opens fine in 2024, but crash when open it in 2025.

    Thank you Mike! I am not an expert, but I will test the different solutions proposed, or probably first uninstall Indesign 2025.
