Bug: InDesign quits with no error when adding a new swatch for a second time

New Here ,
Apr 03, 2025 Apr 03, 2025

My InDiesgn keeps crashing when I add a swatch.

I add my first Swatch. I then go to add a second swatch and once I give the swatch a name and type to enter a hex code Indeisgn quits - no error message.

Hi @davidjwilson,

Please confirm the version of InDesign you’re using and your operating system details.

I checked for any crash reports under your community email but couldn’t find any. When InDesign crashes, do you see the Adobe Crash Reporter pop up? If yes, could you submit a crash report and share the email address you used via DM on the community? This will help me check the logs. Reference: Submit Crash Reports.

Also, does this happen in just one file or across all documents, including newly created ones? And where are you saving your files? On your local drive, an external device, a remote location, or the cloud?

Let me know, and I’ll be happy to look into this further!
