Bug on display performance (high quality display)

If I choose one icon on InDesign doesn't work the high qulity display. It works, if I shoose all icons on page.

 

Mac mini M1 (16gb)
MacOS 12.5.1
InDesign 17.4

HI @liospi , If you want to apply different Display Settings to images, check your Allow Object-Level Display Settings for the application setting. Here my application setting is Fast with Allow Object-Level Display Settings turned off

 

 

I have an object level setting set for the image so if it’s turned on I get a High Quality preview for that image:

 

 

The contextual image setting with Use View Setting turned off

Could simply be that the effective resolution of that image is to low. Is it jpg and maybe saved as 'smaller' size? Show us the Links panel with all info, we can have a look.

Or does your preference setting maybe ignore the individual  image display setting?
