Bug souris InDesign

New Here ,
Sep 25, 2025 Sep 25, 2025

Bonjour,

And what happens if you attach a mouse (or an external trackpad) and use it? Do you have the same issue?

I wonder if it also happens in InDesign 2024 (19.x)? You can install it from the Creative Cloud app (in addition to your InDesign 2025 installation). This info can help isolate the problem further.

What's your Windows version and how much RAM do you have?

I'm on Windows 11 24H2, and i have 16Go of RAM.

I restarted my computer and the error message from the creative cloud was gone, i was able to install InDesign 2024. The bug is still happening.

Hello @Mathilde1612,

Sorry for the delayed response. I hope the problem is resolved by now. If not, could you kindly try running InDesign under a different administrator account (Windows / macOS) and checking if it helps?

If the problem persists, try disabling GPU performance in InDesign's preferences and share your observations.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Anubhav

Hi Anubhav,

Before trying to run InDesign under a different administrator account, i wanted to take a look at the gpu performance in ID's preferences and i discovered that no monitor is compatible (see on the picture attached). The thing is i used ID on my computer before and i never had the problem i have right now, so i don't really understand how it changed because nothing has changed on my pc.

I start to believe that my only option left is to buy a new computer...

Thanks anyway !

Mathilde

Hello @Mathilde1612,

Thanks for sharing the details. The GPU feature is supported on monitors with a resolution greater than 2K. Learn more here: (https://adobe.ly/3LnjFdF). It is possible that a problem with the current user account or preferences is causing this issue. Please try running InDesign under a different admin account to check if it helps.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
Anubhav

Hi @Mathilde1612,

Thanks for sharing the details. Could you try running InDesign in Windows Safe Mode to check if any background apps or drivers are interfering? Also, please test by creating a new Windows user profile and launching InDesign there to see if the behavior is the same. This will help narrow down whether it’s system-related or specific to your current profile. If the issue continues, a short screen recording would be very helpful for me.

Let me know how it goes.

Abhishek

Hi Abhishek !

I opened InDesign in Safe Mode, and the problem was still there. I guess it means the problem is system-related.

Do you still want a screen recodring ?

Have a good day,

mathilde
