Cache problem with share before review by Indesign

Hello,

We've been working with Indesign's review function for a long time, but we've found that it keeps causing problems.

 

In the final correction loops, it often happens that the documents are not displayed correctly to the users even though they have been updated via the software. The correctors continue to see the version that was valid on the first visit. Reloading with F5 or CTRL + F5 does not bring any results either. Only deleting the cache + cookies and the associated new login solves this problem.

 

This is very annoying and probably shouldn't be like this. If I try to reproduce this problem outside of the correction loop mentioned above, it cannot be reproduced.

 

What can be the reason? How can we stop this cache behavior? On average, we work with 5 documents at the same time. Can this have anything to do with it?

 

We are working on a Windows 10 computer (all updates installed) with Indesign 18.2.1 x64 and Firefox in the 113.0.1 (64 bit) version.

Hello Rishabh,

we have the issue across all browsers when it occurs. Unfortunately, it can't be consciously reproduced, at least I don't know how yet.

When the user goes to Design v1.4 and works in there and I upload Design v1.5 the rendering in Indesign Review for the user gets stuck at v1.4. Reloading as well as CTRL + F5 continue to load Design v1.4.

Only waiting or emptying the cache (and thus also annoying re-logging) solves the problem directly. This is extremely cumbersome in the workflow.

As soon as the problem occurs again I would then share the info via DM.
