Can i manage the position of a footnote?

I remember that someone told me that you can apply a style to a footnote and also to manage the location of that footnote. Does anyone knows if it is possible?

I think you are asking for column notes. Take a look at this page:

As a default, it will appear at the bottom of the frame the contains the reference. You have some controls in Type > Footnote Options, and there are scripts available that offer more controls. What are you looking for?

I want to set all my footnotes of a certain page at the left margin of that page, but i wanted to be automatic

The location of the footnote is alway on the bottom of the text frame. Footnotes can use Paragraph and Character Styles. You can specify it in the Footnote Layout Menu in the Type Menu.
