I stopped my sub to CCafter my business folded due to illness - I could no longer afford it and was doing everything in InDesign anyway. I want to start doing some work again - logos, web design, etc If  I subscribe to just InDesign can I get away without Acrobat Pro?

If you are doing the work you describe, you will need more than just InDesign. What will you do if someone wants a PDF form? Logos are best done in Illustrator. Web design (not actual HTML coding) would be best done in Illustrator or Photoshop.

Adobe has a sale on the Creative Cloud for $40 US until July 24.

I think, working with InDesign requires Acrobat Pro, not only Acrobat. Many tasks can only be done in Acrobat, specially in the Tool Group Print Production.

Thanks Willi. I realise I was being penny-wise, pound-foolish, trying to get by with just InDesign. Regards, Pete.

Thanks for your advice David. I admit I was doing things the hard way, drawing vector images in InDesign, but I never felt comfortable in Illustrator, plus I kept losing access to it and Adobe help wasn't any help in trying to get it back. Hopefully, with this American subscription I can stay connected to all the available software. I also have to admit that any wesite design I do would be hopeless without Photoshop. Thanks again. Regards, Pete.
