Can't duplicate item with a shortcut

I cannot duplicate an item with the shortcut CMD+Shift+Option+D. What's most bizzare is that the shortcut works when the Edit menu is dropped.

 

Indesign 18.0 (but I remember the problem from other versions)

MacOS 13.4

Macbook Pro M1 Max

Shortcuts can also fail if there is an application or extension which "steals" modifier keys. Shut down your computer, and start it to disable startup applications (on a Mac, hold down the Shift key). Open InDesign first and try again. If it works there is a conflicting app. Start up one-by-one to see the culprit.
