Can't find properties panel Indesign 2018 (13.1)

Question

Am I crazy? I've really loved having the properties panel in Illustrator and so I've upgraded Indesign - really just to get the properties panel (And a few other new things) but now that I'm in - I can't find it. There is no Window>Properties in my menu at all. I'm in the Essentials workspace, and looked in all the other workspaces. I want my properties panel!

The Properties panel was introduced in version 14.0. From your title you appear to be on an earlier version.

I think if you just update to the latest version of InDesign you should be fine. Upgrading is free and easy to do from the Adobe Creative Cloud app. Let us know if you have any issues.

As already pointed out, it was introduced in InDesign 2019, but if you're expecting a feature as powerful as Illustrator's you're going to be in for a huge disappointment.

BTW, you'll need to make sure your computer supports InDesign 2019 or it won't even show up in the CC Desktop app. On Mac, you'll need 10.12 or later...Windows requires Win 7 SP1 or Win 10 1709 or later.
