I opend a NEW file and placed an image in it. I tried to SAVE it (all 3 ways) and it states it's DAMAGED so it can't SAVE it. I'm using InDesign v18.1.

Thx for any suggestions.

Maybe create a new file and add a few words to see if it will print. If it does copy all that is on you old and paste it in the new file. You may also try to reload your print driver. One more option throw away the preferences or plist.

Hi, -W ( @WendyH  ),

where do you try to save the file?

Locally on your harddrive, on a network share or on a cloud service?

If not locally try to save the file locally.

If locally try to save the file locally on a different harddrive, e.g. an USB stick or vice versa.

Regards

Stephan

Create a new file, the copy the content, one object at a time, and paste into the new file. Save after each paste and if there's a problem object you should be able to find it.

Thank you Peter for responding. I had created a new file and drew a pic box and brought in an image; went to save and it claims the file is damaged.

I understand that. Try copying that frame to a second new file.

Same result - damaged file.
