Cannot Uninstall InDesign 2017 from M1 iMac

The uninstall icon has a cancel sign. Upon launching, an error message generates that says:

IDSN_12_1_0 needs to be updated. The developer of this app needs to update it to work with this version of macOS. Contact the developer for more information.

Adobe Creative Cloud does not present the uninstall feature when choosing the ••• icon.

Any insights are appreciated.

Thanks!

Sometimes, you need the rude cure:

When you're absolutely determined to flush Creative Cloud from your system, Adobe's CC Cleaner Tool is the fix you need. Be aware though, that this will clean out every part of your CC Installs for the version you choose to eliminate. That's where the rude cure part comes in. And it works best when you eliminate everything and then re-install the latest version of Creative Cloud apps.

Hope this helps,

Randy

How exactly did you even get it installed?

Hi Bob,

It migrated from the time machine backup [migration assistant]. Old iMac to M1 iMac.

Thanks, Randy!

All I want to do is eliminate this one app but then I like having the extreme option too.

Just might end up doing this.

I understand. However, just using the uninstall file for InDesign CC 2017, if it's still viable in an Apple Silicon environment, can leave a lot of digital detrius scattered around the system which could cause real complication with your current system configuration.

It stinks, but sometimes you have little choice but to nuke your Creative Cloud installation from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

Wish I had better news for you,
