Cant relink missing linked image

I am reviewing an old packaged document. I can see there is a linked image missing. However, I can go to that image and there is no page associated with it. When I try to relink the image nothing happens. This what the linked palette looks like.Screen Shot 2019-12-06 at 4.44.38 PM.pngexpand image Does anyone know what might be going on?

I am using Indesign 15.0.1 on an iMac High Sierra

So you mean the image file actually isn't missing but just present on the pasteboard still it is shown as missing and relink does not work? Try exporting the file to IDML and see if it fixes the issue

The file was linked but wasn't on the pasteboard or any of the pages. When
you chose to go to link nothing would happen. Once I saved it to IDML
though the link disappeared. Wierd
