Hi everyone,
i have an issue with indesign.

I'm generating captions for my book, but I can't get live caption to hyphenate (text gets all overlapped, whilst static captions are perfect.

What can it be?

Thanks a lot

Live captions are limited to one line. You'll need to use static captions so you can break on to a second line. Furthermore, it's bad style to hyphenate captions.

    Hi gassadamante,

And if these correct responses are not what you hoped to hear, consider voting for captions/variables to break here:

Live captions are like text variables. They are one "thing" and if they don't fit nicely in the space given, they will squish to fit.

    You can

    • make your frame wider
    • convert to a static caption
    • generate a static caption
