CC More than one file opened: lower side of artboardwindow disappears out of screen

Hi,

Only just started working with Adobe CC (coming from CS6) on a iMac running High Sierra 10.13.2.

When opening more than one file my artboardwindow becomes bigger making the low navigation bar (for flipping between (master)pages) to dissapear below my monitor screen. I'm thinking it should resize automatically so it stays visible?

I already threw away the two ID-preference files from the HD for some other display problems which seem to be solved now but this problem still occurs. Or is there some default setting in the program preferences to change this with? Your thoughts please, thanks in advance!

Do you have multiple monitors of different resolutions?

I have a 4K monitor as my main monitor with a1080 monitor on each side. When I move from the 4K to the small res monitor, sometimes it does not auto resize.

I simply double-click on the title bar (not the green maximize button). If I manually resize it on the smaller monitor--not maximize--then quit and restart, the program will "remember" what monitor I want to use. Then I can maximize it.

IDEAS-Traing: Yes, I have an old apple cinema screen on the right of the mac for reading mail. But I never work Indesign on the small monitor. When I double click it minimizes the window. Don't exactly understand what you mean?

Bob Levine: No, I don't use the application frame because it annoys me for not being able to switch fast between Indesign and desktop usage. I saw that enabling it makes the bottom of the window reappearing again.

My finding is that if I simple maximize the program, it won't "remember" the monitor and and window size.

Here is what I do...

I maximize the program by double-clicking the title bar (so I can see the entire program window) then manually resize the program window smaller to fit on the desired screen. Quit and restart program. It should open up at the smaller window size and "remember" what screen you have selected. At this point, you can simply maximize it again.

Sometimes the program "freaks out" and extends across all three monitors all on its own. If that happens, I just have to maximize it again and repeat the process.

I find that mixing Retina/uHD monitors with older HD monitors is still a problem on both Mac and Windows.

Do you have the application frame enabled.
