Change from British to American spelling

I work with dynamic spelling turn on. The document I am currently in seems to have set up with British English in mind, as all kinds of perfectly good words are getting flagged. How do I change this?

Hi @MarieMeyer, Language is a character level attribute, so to change the entire document’s language you have to select all of the text, and change the language in the Character panel. You would also need to update your styles. For long complex documents a language change can be scripted—if you need a script I can post one.

Thank you Rob for the kind offer. I decided it would be quicker to just go into Style options and change each one manually.
