When I change the margins/text box size on the master pages, the entire document does not change, only the margins change. I have tried, I think, everything, and I cannot get the ttext boxes on 215 pages of my document to change. I'm hoping I don't have to change each text box on each page individually.
Thanks.

Try File > Adjust Layout
If your textframes were touching the original margins, they will adjust to the new margins settings. All 215 at once.

Mike, thanks and I have tried that, and it does not work. I have also tried changing text frame options under Object both while highlighting all frames, and I've tried it directly on the Master pages. Nothing seems to work.

Could you post a screenshot of your Pages Panel so that we can confirm that the appropriate Master (Parent) Pages are applied to your document pages? Did you at any time use the option under the Pages Panel pull-down menu to Override all master (parent) page items?

Here is a screen shot. I did not override the master page items. Thanks for helping, and If I don't get back to you, its because I'll be away from my computer for several days.

Hi @joolk , In order to get content into the master text frames you would have had to override them on the pages, so the problem might be the text frames on the pages are not really from the masters. The position of a page item attached to a master would only respond to a change from the master if its position has not be changed relative to the master.
For a document with threaded text aligned to the margins, ideally you want to set up the text frames as Primary Text Frames on the Masters when you create the document, and paste or place your text into the primary threaded text:
Now from the Master/Parent page I can change the margins and the text frames and the change will be reflected on the pages:

Thank you for offering to help. So, there isn't a way I can make this simple change on my own? I need to dig into the code?

If it's just a text and not too much fancy stuff around - you could "start from scratch" - create new document, as per @rob day suggestion - and then just copy&paste text from the old document?

Maybe all those 215 pix are on a locked layer or are individually locked?
