How do I clear the font cache?

Fonts that are deactivated or no longer installed on my computer are still loading/displaying in my files anf font menu. I'm assuming I can clear the cache and resolve this but please let me know if I should do something else.

Is it possible they're Adobe fonts that keep auto-activating every time you open those particular documents?
